The unimaginable happens- you're favorite eyeshadow slips from your grip, fumbles through your hands, and crashes on the floor, shattering into a million pieces! (okay, maybe not a million pieces, but you get the picture!) "All is lost!" " Now I have to go buy another one! " "Do you know how much that cost me?!" But have no fear, rescue is near! You can salvage that precious eyeshadow with something you may already have in your medicine cabinet or first aid kit- alcohol! Alcohol helps bind the powder together again and restore your beloved eyeshadow. Here's what you do: |
1. Pour a small amount of alcohol into eyeshadow pan: A dropper is useful here since you get more control with the product and avoid pouring the whole bottle in the pan. 3- 5 drops will do, but may depend on size of eyeshadow. 2. Smooth out eyeshadow: Now you want to bring the product together like a paste, smoothing it out with either your finger, a small makeup spatula, or even a quarter wrapped in tissue paper works just as well. Make sure the shadow is packed tightly together to ensure it bonds correctly. 3. Let eyeshadow dry: Once you've smoothed the shadow in place, let it dry for at least 1-2 hours to ensure the alcohol has dried..You can check by running your finger over the product. And voila! Your precious eyeshadow is like new again!
